Why Configure the Facility Utilization Setting?
The Facility Utilization setting helps to prevent sending referrals to the wrong facilities. This setting allows you to select the specific Target Facilities to which the users in your Medical Practice Account can send referrals. This setting limits the facilities that appear in the Preferred Facilities list of the Create Referral and Edit Referral pages.
Who Can Configure the Facility Utilization Setting?
You must have an administrator role to configure settings.
How to Add Target Facilities
- Go to Admin > Settings > Platform Settings to display the Manage Settings page.
- Under Facility Utilization in Select Facilities, begin typing the name of a facility to which you want to allow referrals to be sent. Then, select the facility from the list that appears. The drop-down list displays the facility's name, city, and state. The facilities in the list are designated as Targeted Facilities in the TransferCenterIQ™ application or the Capacity Management Suite® solution at the health system you want to send the patient to.
The facility name appears in the Target Facilities list and the Added icon appears .
- Select Change Settings to save the new targeted facilities that you selected.
When users who have External Care Provider roles create referrals, only the facilities that you have selected appear in the Preferred Facility list of the Create or Edit Referrals pages.
The updated Facility Utilization setting is activated for referrals that are created from this point forward.
How to Remove Target Facilities
- Go to Admin > Settings to display the Manage Settings page.
- Under Facility Utilization in Target Facilities, move your cursor over the name of a facility that you want to remove from the list. Then, select the X that appears next to the facility.
The facility name clears from the Target Facilities list and the Removed icon appears .
- Select Change Settings to save the new targeted facilities that you selected.
When users who have External Care Provider roles are creating referrals, the facility that you removed does not appear in the Preferred Facility list of the Create or Edit Referrals pages.
The updated Facility Utilization setting is activated for referrals that are created from this point forward.
